It's early evening on the 39th floor of Harris Simmons Media. The secretaries have gone home. CEO Gill Harris is finishing paperwork — then he is shot. Across the floor, President Donald Alexander is next. A gunman and a frantic woman move with purpose, and the elevator descends.

Donald calls his star executive, Kwame Mills. The phone drops. Kwame slams down his phone and sprints up two flights of stairs — arriving just as the elevator closes with the assailants inside. He reaches Donald's office with no idea what he just missed, or what lies ahead.
