The People's Choice Is Locked In — But Could the Board Flip?

The People's Choice Is Locked In — But Could the Board Flip?

Dear Insiders,

I've had a ton of wonderful conversations with readers over the six-plus years I've been plowing away on this Black Camelot series. This universe wouldn't be what it is today without your insights, your theories, and your incredible passion. You've been chiming in and debating the characters since the very first novel, The Publisher's Dilemma.

Because you have been actively casting this universe right alongside me for years, I am officially dubbing this definitive lineup The People's Choice. These are the actors you have chosen to play the leading roles in the feature film adaptation.

The People's Choice: The Leading Players

Jeffrey Wright as Donald Alexander
The master strategist and pillar of intellect. Quietly commanding, calculating every move from the boardroom to the backroom.

Michael B. Jordan as Kwame Mills
The modern power player. Ruthless executive charisma, driving the high-stakes political machine. He is the future.

Chase Infiniti as Sammie Rivers
The brilliant edge. Watching the shadows, protecting the city — she is already there.

Idris Elba as Chief Teddy Walker
The law and relentless force leading the manhunt. A gritty, immovable moral anchor in a storm of corruption.

Method Man as Assistant Chief Walt Bigelow
The smooth operator with unshakeable poise. Unrivaled street smarts, political dexterity, and legendary charm — the ultimate Ladies' Choice.

The Franchise Effect: Could the Board Flip?

Just because these are the current favorites doesn't mean these roles are set in stone. The beauty of this universe is how fluid these power players truly are.

I could easily see Idris Elba and Jeffrey Wright flipping roles entirely to give us a totally different strategic flavor. Or — a favorite choice of many readers over the years — imagine Sterling K. Brown and Jay Ellis slipping into the top spots as Donald Alexander and Kwame Mills.

My goal for the Black Camelot franchise has always been to create a world where these roles are coveted, analyzed, and valued by fans in the exact same way the world views the James Bond leading man. I want Donald Alexander, Kwame Mills, and Sammie Rivers to be serious thespians with drooling sex appeal and a toughness that — if called upon — can kick ass. The debate is part of the legacy, and the crown is always up for grabs.

The Roadmap: Finishing the Saga

We are currently at Book 7, which means there is still serious runway left. Writing an intricate, high-stakes political thriller takes time — craftsmanship can't be rushed. I am deep in the lab prepping the final trilogy.

The grand finale is locked into the calendar. The final three books — Eight, Nine, and Ten — will land consecutively in 2026, 2027, and 2028.

New to Black Camelot? Your Ultimate Summer Binge Guide

Don't worry — you don't have to start at the absolute beginning to get caught up in the storm. I highly recommend that new readers jump in at Book 4. It will immediately hook you into Book 5 and the deep political drama at the heart of Black Camelot.

The perfect summer binge set:

Clear your weekend schedules and dive into the backrooms. Once you're through, come back and tell me your vote — are you sticking with the People's Choice, or are you flipping the board?

I'll be back soon with reader picks for our secondary characters — who are just as critical to the story as the leads themselves. If you haven't lobbied for your favorites yet, now is the time.

See you in the shadows,
